Hotel La Tour in Milton Keynes is protected by a low-pressure Water Mist Fire Suppression System to BS 8489-1: 2016 and following a detailed BB7 fire strategy.
The 15 storey (basement, ground plus 13) luxury building is a 50-metre high concrete and steel framed development. Ecotect completed the contract for Winvic Construction, with full hand-over to time in March 2022.
The scheme has been designed by PHP Architects, whose aesthetic and stakeholder requirements quite rightly tested our engineering and installation ingenuity. Over 1400 mist nozzles are supplied from Ecotect distribution pipework and dedicated fire suppression booster pump, which is fed from a dedicated water storage tank.
